Put your music in front of people who play at being you.

Chart Topper players spend their days writing songs, booking tours and chasing charts. It is an audience that self-selected for music obsession. There are two ways to reach it, and the first one is free.

Get your music played in the game

We are opening Chart Topper's in-game playlist to real artists. Your recordings play while people are writing songs, booking tours and watching the charts move. Credited, with your artwork, and linked so anyone who likes what they hear can go and find you.

To be clear about what this is not: the game also has a station where players hear songs other players made, and those are generated. This is separate, and it is the real thing. Your recording, as you made it, played to people while they play.

Free, a month at a time

No fee, no minimum following, no distributor requirement. A run lasts a month, and if it goes well we will ask you back. We would rather have music we love than music that paid.

Being straight with you: this is free for the foreseeable future, and one day it may not be. If we ever start charging, nothing changes for a run already booked, and you will hear it from us first.

You keep everything

You keep your masters, your publishing and every right you walked in with. What you give us is permission to play it, and you can pull that permission any time.

How it goes

  1. 1

    Send us a link

One link where we can hear you. Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Spotify, your own site, whatever you have.

  2. 2

    A person listens

Not a filter and not an algorithm. We listen to everything that comes in, and we reply either way.

  3. 3

    You go into the playlist

If it fits, your music plays inside the game for a month, credited with your name and your artwork.

  4. 4

    Players hear you

They are playing a game about making music. It is a better room than most playlists.

Submit your music

Music acts only, any genre, anywhere in the world. We listen to everything.

One link is plenty. Bandcamp or SoundCloud is easiest for us.

Paid · Advertising

Advertise a release or a tour

Separate from the free playlist above, and useful for a different job: when you have a date or a drop you need people to act on. Placements are native posts in the in-game community feed, the same feed where players celebrate their wins.

Your artwork

Cover art or tour poster, shown full-width in the feed. No banner-ad boxes.

Your blurb

A short pitch in your own voice. We will help you tighten it if you want.

A tap-out link

Straight to your streaming page, tickets, or wherever you want listeners to land.

The game stays fair. Always.

Placements never affect gameplay, charts, or any player's score. There is no pay-to-win, no boosted rankings, no algorithmic favors. You are buying attention, not influence.

Rates

Three ways to run. Every placement is feed-native and labeled.

Questions, answered

Is the in-game music really free?

Yes. No fee, no catch, and nothing to buy. We are building the rotation now and we would rather fill it with music we love than music that paid. It will stay free for the foreseeable future, and if that ever changes we will tell you before it does.

What rights am I giving you?

Permission to play your music inside the game, and to show your name and artwork so players know who they are hearing. That is all. It is non-exclusive, so it does not stop you doing anything else with the music, you keep your masters and your publishing, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.

Do I need a label or a distributor?

No. Unsigned and self-released is completely fine, and honestly it is most of who we want. A link to hear the music is the only requirement.

How long does a rotation run?

A month. If it goes well we will ask you back. We keep rotations short so the game keeps changing and so more artists get a turn.

What kind of music are you looking for?

Anything a person would put on. The game covers pop, rock, rap, country and electronic, but do not let that stop you. We are not filling slots by genre, we are picking music we want playing while people play.

Who can advertise?

Music acts only: artists, bands, managers, and labels promoting music, tours, or releases. We review every request and decline anything that doesn’t fit the community.

Why invoicing instead of checkout?

Inventory is small and every placement is reviewed by a person, so there’s nothing to buy on impulse. We confirm availability first, then send an invoice through Mercury. No card forms, no surprises.

What creative do you need from me?

Artwork (square works best), a short blurb in your own voice, and one link, whether that is streaming, tickets, or wherever you want people to land. Due 5 days before your run starts.

Can I pick the week?

Tell us your preferred week(s) in the request and we’ll do our best. Featured Artist sells one per week, so popular weeks like release weeks and tour announcements go first.

Do players know it’s sponsored?

Yes. Placements are labeled as sponsored, and they never touch the game itself. See the fairness note above.
